Our Story

Eric’s snacks was born from Fasnacht Eric’s ingenuity, a baker from Switzerland who came to Puerto Rico to work as a pastry chef at the Hotel Pierre, during the development of the hotel industry on the island. The young entrepreneur quickly adapted to his new business environment, immediately learning the customer’s palate and the opportunities provided by the Puerto Rican government in order to incentivize the economy.

In the 1940s, Teodoro Moscoso, the architect of Puerto Rico’s industrialization, created the Economic Development Administration agency, which lured investors to the island and promoted industrialization in what was then a poor, agricultural society.These economic development incentives aimed at attracting companies to Puerto Rico. The Hotel Pierre was one of the businesses that came to the Island.
